About Olivia
Second year student currently studying a BSc in Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of St Andrews. At A-Level, I received an A* in Mathematics, and in first-year of my university I got over 95% in my mathematics modules.
Mathematics is such a fundamental subject with incredible importance. I work very hard to help you both improve your maths skills, but also gain confidence in yourself.
I have experience in tutorting from primary school level all the way up to university level. My style of tutoring includes weekly assignments and continuous feedback in lesson, I make most of my own resources so that they are catered to your needs exactly, and I am flexible in my time to provide you the necessary support.

Assignments and work will focus on your areas of weakness in maths, taking care to develop the techniques required, and filling any gaps of knowledge. Lessons are catered to your needs and wishes, changing the pace of the lesson as appropriate. Weekly take-home assignments that are marked at the start of the next lesson, taking 20 minutes to ensure that they have retained the knowledge from the previous lesson and to see where they may still falter. This is just like homework from school and if the student does require help during the assessment, I am happy to provide anything necessary. Lessons last between 1 and 2 hours, beginning with basics and slowly moving onwards. The key point in my lessons is to progress your understanding of the topics you find tricky, as well as provide helpful exam tips and revision plans to become an effective student.
