About Monika
My name is Monika. I am a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra teacher with 5 years of teaching experience all over the world, and a Pilates instructor with passion for travels and psychology. Yoga appeared in my life when I needed it the most in the time of mental and emotional distress and stayed with me until this day. Slowly it helped me to see the way out of my situation and was an amazing healing tool, both for my body and mind. It showed me completely different way of living and I instantly fell in love with it. I have been practicing yoga and Pilates continuously for over 7 years and started giving yoga classes 5 years ago. I worked at yoga studios, fitness clubs, yoga retreats, hotels and organized yoga events on my own. Currently, besides working in the retreat center, I teach online classes for private students and groups. Working in various places taught me about the diversity in the needs of the clients and the differences in working in various settings. By creating the events on my own and leading online yoga classes I learned about marketing and reaching potential clients. I obtained a certificate of 200-hour Yoga Vinyasa teaching training, 50-hour Yin Yoga teacher training and 40-hour Yoga Nidra teacher training accredited by Yoga Alliance. I also completed Yoga Vinyasa teacher training according to Basia Łukaszczyk’s original program and participated in yoga workshops. I also finished a Power Pilates instructor certification. In addition to my knowledge and experience in teaching yoga, I have a solid academic foundation in well-being education. I have obtained a MA degree in Religion, Health and Well-being. I am determined to gain more knowledge and experience in alternative methods of healing, mainly in psychedelic-assisted therapy and plant medicines. I am also interested in neuropsychology and how yoga practice affects neuroplasticity of the brain. I still develop my skills and attend workshops, teacher trainings and classes provided by other teachers to expand my personal and teaching skills so the content of my classes develops as well.

Hey yogis! I construct creative classes, add new positions, and transitions sometimes taken from Pilates practice and my dance background, and modifications to challenge the students and give them opportunity to explore their bodies and experience the unique style of teaching. By providing an individual approach and adjusting the level of the training to the needs and skills of the students everyone can get the best out of it. I focus on details so the students can be sure that the classes are safe. Other important aspects of my classes are breathwork and meditation. Vinyasa is a dynamic practice in which breath guides the movement. We will mainly focus on standing and sitting asanas and flowing, funky transitions. This practice warms up the body, strengthens and stretches it. I like to add functional movements and mobility into the practice. Yin Yoga affects deep tissues, including tendons and fascia. It is a static practice in which we stay in deep stretching positions for extended periods of time which allows to increase mobility and range of motion in the joints. In this stillness we devote ourselves to inner work - directing the breath to places that need it the most and observing and calming our thoughts. Yoga Nidra is a magical experience where we slow the brain waves down and entering the gentle altered state of consciousness, building the sensation of wholeness within you. It will relax you, soothe the nervous system, may also activate emotions which have been living within you for some time. In Yoga Nidra classes you stay in Savasana or sitting position and follow my voice. Classes include body scanning, breathing techniques and visualizations. We try to relax you and at the same time work with traumas, anxiety and other challenging states and feelings. Usually we start the class with grounding and some breath work, followed by the asana practice. We finish the class with relaxation in Savasana. I add meditation, breathing exercises and other tools depending on what the student is looking for in the class.
