About Amaris
I have been working with kids of all ages and across various settings for 20 years. I have an MA in Early Childhood Education + Early Childhood Special Education, and a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I am bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and can therefore seamlessly integrate language support into any session.

I tailor my lessons to meet the specific needs of each child - frequent breaks, chunking, bilingual, scaffolding - I can and will do it all to ensure that each session delivers the appropriate level of support. Our first session is usually dedicated to getting to know the family and the child by developing an understanding of their strengths and interests and leveraging those to help address areas of support. Future sessions are co-created with short- and long-term goals in mind. I enjoy supporting kids who have various needs - such as Autism, ADHD, etc - through an individualized approach. I also excel at establishing meaningful relationships with families and providing feasible ideas on how parents can effortlessly incorporate teachable moments throughout their day to help enrich their child's academic lives.
