About Jim
I have taught thousands of lessons in my 25-year career as an educator. Since acquiring a degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of New Hampshire in 2002 I have honed my skills as both an educator and performer. My first priority as a teacher is the musical growth of my students. I have a passion for sharing the knowledge that I have garnered on my own musical journey. Helping aspiring guitarists reach their goals and find their own musical identity is my number one priority.

With over 25 years of experience as a music educator I have found that not every student learns the same way. Having taught thousands of lessons in my career, I have had to hone a vast array of methods in order to be able to address the needs of any student, young or old, that walks into my lesson studio. I am a seasoned educator and performer with the skills needed to teach the true beginner, the music school bound high school senior to the professional gigging musician aspiring to bring their playing to the next level regardless of genre. A typical lesson plan does not exist as every student has different needs. I assess the student's level, ascertain their specific goals, and create a unique lesson plan catered specifically to that unique individual.
