About Laurent
Laurent began the drums at the Nice Conservatory with Mr Ceccarelli, then quickly performed in the region, he finished his studies and obtained a gold medal and the 1st Prize of the Nice Conservatory unanimously with the congratulations of the jury, He teaches the instrument in many schools (Nice conservatory, CEDAC cultural center in Cimiez Nice, music school in Valois), and decides to settle in Paris where he performs in music clubs and festivals with Léonore Boulanger (lesaule ), Malia (Universal music), William Chabbey, François Chautemps, Mark Alberts, Deborah Benassouli, Solene Pannetier, Louisa Bey (Cristal Records), Rob Armus, James Kakande. He is the drummer for St John Coltrane Church on their French tour, and performs in several countries and festivals (Lieu unique Nantes, Fano Free Folk Festival, Tanger jazz festival, Copenhagen Jazzhouse, Avantgarde Festival Schiphorst (DE), Festival Noorderzon Groningen (NL), Montreux festival off, Crest Jazz Vocal, Jazz and Klezmer Festival, Nice Jazz Festival, Vienne, Réunion, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Morocco, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Spain, Portugal). He is part of the studio one orchestra at Disneyland Paris, and a percussion quartet at Parc Astérix. He has participated in numerous album recordings (Malia, Métropolis, Mr Syms, Louisa Bey, Léonore Boulanger, Jean-Daniel Botta, Philippe Crab, Electricdiva, Antoine Loyer, Valentin Vander).

My method is diverse and plural, it is based on oral tradition (you learn to speak before you can read !!), and adapts to everyone for maximum efficiency. We learn "the job" in all styles of music. The position, the warm-up, the holding of the sticks and the rudiments are important for a solid base which will allow to approach all the styles with ease (Jazz, rock, pop, samba, Latin, bossa nova, reggae, drums & bass, afrobeats, varieties, jazz-rock, electro, solo, improvisation, polyrhythm)
