About Katelyn
I am a junior at Coastal Carolina University and have received 2 President's Awards and a Dean's List Award. I am currently a part of an HPV research lab, where my research has been published in the Journal of the South Carolina Academy of Science. I have also spoken at a conference for the American Society of Microbiology. I have definitely had to rely on tutoring for some courses, so I know how beneficial it is for academic success. I love science, so I love being able to assist anyone that needs help in these subjects!

I like to have a very personable relationship with my students, allowing them to feel comfortable to ask questions. Figuring out what topic the student needs help with and how much the student already knows is an important first step in the learning process. I look over the learning material and figure out the lessons that need explanation. I know firsthand how beneficial it is to have someone to talk through materials with to help gain a better understanding. I can teach lessons from middle school biology all the way to college level microbiology, cell biology, and physics.
