About Laurence
Hi, I’m Laurence, a Medicine student at Queen Mary University of London. I achieved A* in Biology and Mathematics and A in Chemistry at A level, alongside ten Grade 9s at IGCSE. I also received a Silver Award in the UK Chemistry Olympiad. Having recently completed my own GCSE and A-level studies, I understand the demands students face and enjoy helping younger students build their confidence and achieve their academic goals. I also have experience as a student mentor and senior prefect, supporting younger students with their studies.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they want to strengthen their understanding of key concepts, improve their exam technique, work through difficult topics or aim for the highest grades.
I teach KS3 Science, GCSE/IGCSE Biology and Chemistry, and A-Level Biology. As I have recently completed my own GCSE and A-Level studies, I am familiar with the challenges students face and the importance of effective exam preparation.
My lessons focus on clear explanations, exam-style questions and past-paper practice, helping students understand not only what they need to know, but how to apply their knowledge effectively in exams. I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can gradually build their confidence.
