About Marinda
I am a qualified actuary and have also owned and managed my own business. I have lived in South Africa, England and New Zealand and love interacting with different people and cultures.
I wish to share my skills and knowledge with the next generation, working together for a better future. I am available to teach students from Year 1 to Year 13, including offering support to home school families.
I find it rewarding each time I help a student gain better understanding of their subject and achieve success. I am patient, have good communication skills and am able to break down complex problems into understandable concepts. I can discern where a student is getting stuck and help them develop the knowledge and insight to work through such barriers and continue learning with confidence.
I have a solid academic track record – Dux at high school, achieved my Bachelor's degree with distinction followed by qualifying as an actuary (Fellow of Institute of Actuaries, UK). I have also owned and managed by own business.
I am looking forward to the possibility of working together towards your success.
