About Phoebe
I believe the key to a great education is support, guidance and encouragement. However, it can be difficult to build this kind of relationship with a class teacher, and therefore this is where I would come in as a private tutor. My role is to help you find the best way for you to learn, using my expertise and your input. We can take the time to practise, develop and reflect on what you have learnt in school and spend more time on your personal strengths and weaknesses.

I like to begin my lessons with an overview of what we have already covered, and discuss what you may have done recently in lessons at your school. Then we will work through a variety of tasks, exam questions and theory relating to a topic we have highlighted as a weak area. My lessons are very personalised to the student, as the purpose of private tutoring is to provide additional, 1 to 1 support unlike what you can receive in the classroom. Usually last 1-2 hours, however I am flexible. I have a PGCE from the University of Nottingham, where I have been trained in secondary school teaching, specifically in secondary science. I have worked for the last year in secondary schools in the UK. My tutoring is best suitable for students aged 11-18, for KS3, KS4 or KS5.

Deadly! Phoebe has been absolutely amazing with my daughter . She is very professional and connects really well with her. It is only few weeks since Phoebe started teaching my daughter GCSE chemistry so far but her confidence in chemistry has already improved greatly. My daughter has found Phoebe a great help and has made sessions interesting and rewarding.
