About David
I graduated from Hampshire College with a well-rounded degree in the humanities. Since no traditional majors are awarded at Hampshire, I had to independently design an interdisciplinary program of my own. I elected to combine Film Studies, Art History, and Philosophy. I'm a curious person by nature, and once I graduated I hoped to embark on a career that I could turn into a vehicle for my own lifelong learning journey, so I of course became a teacher. I also work as a tour guide, and I am the co-founder and academic director of Celtic Lingua Tours, an educational tour company.

I have always received positive feedback on my classes, primarily because of my communicative, student-centred approach and my emphasis on interactive and dynamic activities. Students tend to particularly appreciate my scholarly enthusiasm: I will often incorporate my academic interests across the humanities into the English language curricula I design. Finally, students usually report satisfaction with my ability to immediately establish an atmosphere of trust, comfort, and rapport so learning can truly flourish.
I received top marks on my Trinity Cert-TESOL, which qualifies me to teach English professionally alongside my bachelor's degree, and I have had students share IELTS scores of 8 or even higher. I welcome all ages, levels, and backgrounds, since I have worked with as wide a variety of student profiles as you can imagine in my career as a teacher. I'm perfectly willing to adapt my lessons to the individual needs of my students.
