About Lau

Hello! I’m a Geography and Business teacher with a deep love for nature and how we, as humans, interact with the world around us. I’ve taught on most UK exam boards and have a true passion for personalised learning in the humanities. I believe in making every lesson enjoyable, approachable, and uplifting, ensuring students feel comfortable and supported in their learning journey. I’m enthusiastic, kind, and patient, always striving to create a positive and engaging environment. Outside of teaching, I’m a keen hockey player and love playing musical instruments. Above all, I’m dedicated to the well-being of young people, and my goal is to create a space where they can focus, grow, and succeed in an often chaotic world.

About the lesson

A methodical, exam-focused approach with tailored support, including marking, progress tracking, and targeted provisions for SEN learners. I personalise lessons by adapting resources to suit individual learning styles, providing flexible pacing, and employing varied teaching strategies to ensure every student thrives. Regular assessments enable me to refine content and adjust methods to meet each student’s unique needs, ensuring maximum engagement and academic success.

Deadly! Really interacts with Alfie and explains the next steps forward to help him improve his marks

Lau's response
Alfie has made great progress in his longer responses and linking key topics together to create more detailed explanations with clarity. He has worked increasingly hard to tackle key areas of improvement when it comes to structuring longer essay questions.
