About Duncan
I studied English Language and Literature up to postgraduate level, and I taught first and second language students for a few years before embarking on a career in computer programming and technical support. Part of my work involved training system administrators and programmers on how to use UNIX/Linux operating systems, as well as providing technical support to numerous computer dealers. I also did some part-time sub-editing for a national newspaper. I had my own IT business for many years, during which time I trained several technicians whose second language was not English. Now I am semi-retired from the IT business, and I wish to return to my original vocation which is teaching English.

I feel most comfortable teaching vocational language skills to adult learners who use English in their working environments.
My approach is totally flexible since it is based on responding to the student's existing skill level and special requirements.
