About Светлана

Hello, I’m Svetlana Abramova, a qualified mathematics teacher with more than 15 years of teaching experience. I graduated with honors from Smolensk State University with a Specialist Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science Education.

Throughout my career, I have worked with secondary and high-school students of different ability levels. I help students strengthen their mathematical foundations, improve their school results and prepare for SAT Math, school examinations and university entrance tests.

I am patient, organized and attentive to each student’s individual needs. I believe that mathematics becomes much easier when complex ideas are explained clearly and logically. My students learn not only how to find the correct answer, but also how to understand the reasoning behind each solution.

I create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, analyze mistakes and develop confidence. My aim is to help every student become more independent, accurate and comfortable with mathematics.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised, structured and focused on measurable progress. I teach secondary and high-school mathematics and help students prepare for SAT Math, school examinations, university entrance tests and other mathematics assessments.

At the beginning, I assess the student’s current level, identify knowledge gaps and create an individual study plan. During each lesson, I explain difficult concepts step by step, demonstrate effective problem-solving methods and then guide the student through practice questions. Students actively solve problems instead of simply watching the teacher.

A typical lesson includes a short review, explanation of a new topic, guided practice, independent exam-style questions and feedback on mistakes. I teach algebra, equations, functions, geometry, trigonometry, probability, statistics and introductory calculus.

With over 15 years of teaching experience and a Specialist Diploma with Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science Education, I know how to make complex mathematics clear and manageable. My goal is to improve not only test results, but also mathematical reasoning, accuracy and confidence.

Lessons are suitable for students who need regular academic support, intensive exam preparation or help with specific topics. All lessons are conducted online and adapted to the student’s goals, level and available preparation time.
