About Josiah
Student at Baulkham Hills High, former tutoring experience at a few local tutoring centres. Is capable and qualified for tutoring mathmatics. Previous tutoring centres I have tutored 60+ students, in the yr5-yr8 range. Majority of the students achieved pleasing results in their end-of-year exams, with no-one failing achieve above 80%. Selective and OC have also been achieved with many students able to attend their no.1 school of choice.

My lessons are geared towards students from year 5 to year 8, whether they require tutoring for OC, Selective Schools Test or just in general. The lesson will start with any questions the student may have, and homework go-over from last week. After, we will discuss about what the student may be learning at school, and doing mathmatics related to the current syllabus being taught at school. Using my previous tutoring experience, I will explain examples and questions from what we are learning. I will dedicate plenty of time to preparing for each lesson, ensuring 100% quality.
If tutoring for OC or Selective Schools Exam, I will discuss exam-style questions, as well as visit some past papers from tests from previous years.
In order to prepare my weekly lessons, I will spend on average 30mins each day listing out the structure of what my lesson will include. In the first lesson, I will ask questions about what the student is learning at school, and ask them to do a small quiz to understand their current status.
I will teach passionately each lesson, explaining points until the student has totally understood the concept.
