About Jess
My name is Jess and I am currently a SEN Adviser, which means that I offer support and advice for primary and secondary schools on how to effectively support students with additional needs. Prior to this, I was in the classroom teaching for 8 years. I have lots of experience with the Primary curriculum especially Key Stage Two and, in particular, a significant amount of experience teaching Year 6. I have also taught in Secondary for one year where I specialised in teaching English to Key Stage Three.

I believe in learning being taught through small steps and constant review through a visual process in order to enable the optimum experience through teaching and learning. With over 10 years of experience and SEN specialism, I now advise schools on how to deliver learning effectively for pupils with SEN in order to make progress. Confidence and connection are key, which is something I am passionate about ensuring all my lessons provide.
