About James
I am a second-year Biochemistry student at Queen’s University Belfast and also work as a receptionist in the Mater Hospital A&E. I have a strong interest in Biology and Chemistry and enjoy helping others understand challenging scientific concepts.
Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels and now studying Biochemistry at university, I understand the demands students face and the importance of making difficult topics easier to understand. I am friendly, approachable and patient, and I want to help students build both their knowledge and confidence.
I enjoy working with people and developing my communication skills through both university and my role in A&E, and I would love to use these skills to support students in achieving their academic goals.

I offer friendly, personalised tutoring tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. As a Biochemistry student at Queen’s University Belfast, I have a strong understanding of Biology and Chemistry and enjoy breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable concepts.
Lessons can focus on understanding challenging topics, building confidence, exam preparation and practising past-paper questions. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working at their own pace.
Lessons are available online or in person, with the option for me to travel to the student’s home in the Belfast area. I can work around the student’s existing schedule and tailor each lesson to their individual goals.
Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for upcoming exams or simply gain a better understanding of the subject, I’ll provide supportive and personalised lessons to help you achieve your goals.
