About AJ
I grew up in Teaneck, NJ (right outside the city) and recently moved to Manhattan. I just finished business school with a dual degree and will be starting full-time in September. I have many passions and hobbies: everything from cooking, photography, and movies, to cars, building jet skis, hiking national parks, and making music! I also have a good background of working with kids, whether it was for youth groups, organizations, or birthday event spaces. I hope that I can create a fun and engaging environment to learn by being relatable and well versed in different skills.

I believe in a relaxed, step-by-step approach that focuses on building a strong foundation. I encourage questions, use real-life examples, and break down each topic into clear, manageable parts. This helps students feel comfortable and confident as they learn. Rough Lesson Plan: Warm-Up: A quick review of previous material. New Concepts: Introduce and explain using simple examples. Practice: Work through exercises together, then let students try on their own. Recap: Summarize key points and discuss any questions. What Sets Me Apart: I’m patient, approachable, and always ready to adjust my pace based on each student’s needs. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and intuitive to help students feel accomplished in their progress. Who the Lessons Are For: Math: Elementary to middle/lower high school students. (Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2) Music (Piano & Guitar): Absolute beginners looking to learn the basics and have fun.
