About Selena
My name is Selena Mikaya! I am a recent graduate from the University of Michigan! I am seeking to pursue dental school in a couple of years, but during my gap years, I want to give back to the community!
Growing up, biology didn't always come easily for me, but with the help of amazing teachers, my passion for biology was able to blossom! I was able to understand what I needed in order to succeed in my classes!
Completing my degree at the University of Michigan further pushed me to be the best I can be when it comes to studying biology. I have been instilled with confidence and a well-rounded education in this field!
I have done many biology courses, including anatomy and physiology, plant/ecology, microbiology (my personal fav), and many more! All of these courses I have taken alongside labs!

I know how frustrating understanding biology can be! Growing up with a younger sister, I always came up with study plans for her to understand topics better, but what I didn't realize was that it was also helping me!
I know how to curate plans and explain lessons in a way that is easy to understand while also making the topics fun and relatable to real-world concepts!
I can tutor up to high school biology level!
