I am a recent graduate from Purdue University with a degree in secondary mathematics education. I have two years of experience with private tutoring, and I recently completed sixteen weeks of student teaching in a pre-algebra and algebra classroom.

My teaching approach is student-centered rather than a traditional lecture. I prompt students with questions such as, "What do you already know about the topic?" for two reasons: to get a better idea of their prior knowledge and to use our limited time wisely by not re-teaching material that is already known.
