About Helena
I have a first class honors degree for photography from Manchester Metropolitan University,
been involved in the curation of 3 public exhibitions,
specialize in documentary photography, have previous experience with product photography
and experience with film photography processes and developing.

My methodology focuses on experimentation combined with practical and applied practice.
Through weekly meetings with students I aim to build the curriculum around their interests whilst ensuring that a range of practical techniques are taught. I.e. Indoor and outdoor lighting.
Effectively using ISO, shutter speed and aperture
How to create a photography studio within your home,
Creating a narrative within the photograph,
Loading, shooting, and developing film.
The focus will be on making sure the student is actively engaging with their chosen subject as well as supplying them with the technical skills they need to advance further in the field.
