About Pandora
Hi, my name is Pandora.
I am a Red Seal Endorsed Metal Fabricator/Fitter (437A), with a deep appreciation of trade theory, math and safety.
I like being active outdoors, whether that is biking, hiking or playing a game with my friends! I adore my cat, Maya, and love meal prepping! I have also recently discovered a mean chocolate chip cookie recipe that I can’t stop making!
I graduated from George Brown College with honors in the Welding Techniques program where I was a peer tutor for math. Shortly after that, I started an apprenticeship as a Metal Fabricator/Fitter. Soon after, I started instructing welding workshops at my (at the time) local makerspace, NewMakeIt. I completed my apprenticeship last year and obtained my Red Seal Endorsement (interprovincial standard). I have since opened my own business, BioDyne Studios, which focuses on small-scale welding education.
I have always loved teaching, it makes my day when a student has an aha moment! I hope to make math more approachable to all, not just tradespeople, by teaching it through real world applications, building on what you already know and what you find interesting!

I can help! I blend textbook math with shop math to help you deepen your understanding with a mix of drills, lessons and practical demonstrations based on metal fabrication.
I always start by getting an understanding of what you already know and build off of that! My background in welding and metal fabrication sheds a new light on math by applying it to the real world!
