About Shane
My name is Shane (Vishvam), and I am a dedicated teacher of traditional Hatha Yoga, rooted in the spiritual wisdom of the ancient yogic path. For me, yoga is not a fitness routine or a fleeting trend—it is a sacred science, a way of life, and a profound journey toward inner stillness and self-realization. My path began over 5 years ago and deepened during my time as a volunteer (Karma Yogi) at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Camp and Pranashanti Yoga Center where I obtained my 200hr. Hatha Yoga Teacher certification. Immersed in the classical teachings of texts like the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Gheranda Samhita, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, I learned that Hatha Yoga is ultimately a spiritual practice—one that purifies the body, balances the energies, and opens the gateway to deeper awareness. The name “Vishvam” is a name chosen in honor of the universal spirit that lives in all beings, a reminder of the sacred interconnectedness that yoga reveals. I share this practice not as something I’ve mastered, but as something I continue to bow to each day—with humility, discipline, and devotion.

In my classes, I teach with reverence and intention, blending asana, pranayama, bandha, mudra, mantra, and dhyana (meditation) in their authentic forms. My focus is always to help students move beyond the surface of the practice—into the subtle dimensions of breath, prana, and stillness—so they can experience the deeper essence of yoga as union.
If you step into my class, expect a return to the roots of yoga—a quiet space, a steady breath, and a path inward.
(I also offer non-spiritual, exercise-based class if desired by the student.)
