About Aliyah
Some quick things about me!
1. I'm going to Cornell University this fall to major in Industrial Labor relations.
2. I've been a school tutor at my high school for two years, including helping to tutor students whose first language isn't English.
3. I'm president of National Honor Society, in addition to other clubs like Interact Club and Global Justice.
4. I'm a sleep away camp counselor for girls age 12-13. We always have lots of fun together during the summer!
5. I understand how difficult math can be, and the pressure of schoolwork. Some concepts take time to understand and that is totally ok! When you can understand the reasoning behind certain formulas, math makes a lot more sense!

Hi! My name is Aliyah and I'm a rising freshman at Cornell University! Here are some things about my teaching style:
-Just like there's multiple ways to solve a problem, there's multiple ways to learn! We'll work together to find a learning method that works for you! (Personally I'm a very visual and hands on learner.)
-A typical lesson plan would consist of: an overview of the assignment/topic, practice problems (practicing is key), plus the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session.
-Setting goals for each meeting: What are we trying to accomplish? What are we trying to learn?
-Lessons for middle school and high school students taking algebra, geometry, and precalculus
