About Rebecca

I have worked in the performing arts industry my entire life, first appearing in the West End at the age of 12, and going on to build a varied career as a professional performer and theatre director.

Alongside my own directing/performance work, I have spent over a decade teaching singing and have successfully supported many students in gaining places at leading professional performing arts colleges and degree programmes.

I combine strong technical knowledge with a thoughtful, student-centred approach and value clear communication, curiosity, and creativity in my teaching.

I also hold a degree in Astrophysics from UCL, which reflects my analytical approach to learning and problem-solving.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around the belief that every student is an individual, and that progress comes from being supported, challenged kindly, and encouraged to play. Lessons are a safe, focused space where students can explore text, character, voice, and performance with confidence, always working at a pace that suits them.

Techniques are tailored to each student’s needs, whether the goal is LAMDA exam success, drama school entrance, or developing confidence and communication skills.

Where appropriate, I draw on my experience as a singing teacher, particularly for acting through song or musical theatre audition preparation, helping students connect voice, intention, and storytelling.

Lessons are typically 50 minutes long and suitable for all ages and levels, from beginners to aspiring and professional performers.

I am a Royal Academy of Music Masters graduate (Distinction), hold an AIDTA qualification, and have worked in performing arts education for over 20 years. I have taught privately for over a decade, maintain a 100% LAMDA pass rate, and have supported many students in gaining places at drama and musical theatre colleges.
