Hi! I’m Sarah Cook, founder of SJC Speech and Drama Tutoring, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, communication skills, and a love for the performing arts. I bring over 15 years of experience in Drama Education to my tutoring, including working as Head of Drama at an independent school in London. I have a first class degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, earned my PGCE from Goldsmiths, and have worked with schools, arts organisations, and theatres, including the Royal Shakespeare Company. I have many years of experience preparing pupils for LAMDA examinations, achieving a 100% pass rate at Merit to Distinction. My teaching methodology is tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on unlocking their potential while making learning enjoyable. Lessons cover LAMDA exam preparation (Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre) with a strong emphasis on skill-building and confidence. Sessions are typically either 30 minutes or an hour long (depending on learner preference) and are suitable for students aged 8 to 18, from beginners to advanced performers. Whether working towards qualifications or personal growth, I provide a supportive and inspiring environment to help each student succeed. I also offer tutoring in GCSE and A Level Drama/Theatre Studies.
