About Denise
I have been a science educator for 13 years. I have worked as a tutor, a supplemental instructor, a teaching assistant and am currently an adjunct professor teaching college chemistry. I also have diverse experience in research , development, and commercial chemistry. I teach because I enjoy watching my students succeed in chemistry. I will never do my student's work or judge my students. What I will do is respect and encourage my students by being honest, open, positive, reliable and professional.

I work with students to determine their learning style so that information can be presented in the way they learn best.
Sessions include review of notes/textbook and previous material to determine where students are having difficulty. I provide my students an active role in planning each session and use of quizzes and study tips before exams.
I gauge comprehension, provide positive feedback, and build confidence in my students. I teach my students the skills to improve in class.
I currently teach introductory, general and life chemistry at the college level. I have tutored all levels of chemistry except organic.
I can also work with younger students on STEM material, especially as it relates to the physics of flight.
