About Yusra
I am a patient, supportive, and approachable tutor with a strong interest in research and data analysis. I enjoy helping students build confidence in SPSS and quantitative methods by explaining concepts clearly and making statistics feel less intimidating.
Through my academic studies and placement at the National Centre for Social Research, I developed experience using SPSS, Excel, and R Studio to analyse and interpret data. I understand that many students struggle with statistics, so I focus on creating a calm, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I am organised, reliable, and passionate about helping students improve both their understanding and confidence in quantitative methods.

I take a supportive, practical, and student-focused approach to tutoring SPSS and quantitative methods. My aim is to make statistical concepts feel approachable and build students’ confidence by breaking complex ideas into simple, clear steps. I focus on combining theory with hands-on practice so students understand not only how to use SPSS, but also why specific methods are used and how to interpret results correctly.
My teaching style is interactive and adaptable depending on the student’s level and learning style. I typically guide students through datasets step-by-step, explaining topics such as descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, correlations, regression, and data interpretation using real examples. I also support students with coursework, research projects, assignments, and understanding statistical outputs.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their analytical skills at their own pace.
I have experience using SPSS and quantitative methods through my placement at the National Centre for Social Research, as well as through my academic studies. I am also proficient in Excel and R Studio for data analysis.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE, A-level, undergraduate, and beginner university students who need support with SPSS, quantitative research methods, or statistics-related coursework.
