About Alexander
Hi! I’m an Economics student at the University of Bristol and currently a Finance Intern at LEGO. I grew up in both France and the UK, which has given me a mix of perspectives and experiences. In my free time, I’m really into sports, especially snow sports, and enjoy reading too. I’m passionate about teaching maths because I genuinely believe it’s not as difficult as it’s made out to be. Everyone learns differently, and once you find the method that clicks, it can actually become enjoyable. I focus on breaking things down clearly and building real understanding, so you can feel confident and do your best when it counts.

In my maths lessons, I focus on building real understanding, not just teaching students how to get the right answer, but helping them see why it makes sense. I use a methodical, step-by-step approach that breaks complex ideas into manageable parts, often using real-world examples and analogies to bring abstract concepts to life. A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to review previous material or homework, followed by working through new topics together using guided examples. I then encourage students to try problems on their own, offering support and feedback along the way. I adapt each session to suit the student’s learning style and pace, whether that means slowing down to revisit fundamentals or pushing ahead to challenge their thinking. I aim to help students feel more confident, less intimidated, and fully prepared to tackle maths in class or exams.
