About Lakshitha
I am a second-year Bachelor of Health Sciences student at the University of Queensland (UQ), and I achieved a 99.95 ATAR. I have a strong academic background in Biology from my CBSE studies, which has helped me build a solid understanding of core concepts across the subject.
I focus on helping students understand Biology in a clear and structured way, rather than relying on memorization. My approach is patient and supportive, and I aim to break down complex topics into simple explanations that suit each student’s learning style. I also guide students through questions step by step to help build confidence and exam skills.
I work with students in Years 8 to 12 who need support with Biology, whether that is strengthening foundational knowledge, improving exam performance, or building confidence in the subject.

I take a clear and structured approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students understand Biology concepts rather than just memorizing information. As a new tutor, I explain topics in a simple and relatable way using examples and step-by-step guidance to make difficult concepts easier to understand. I also encourage active learning by asking questions and supporting students as they work through problems.
A typical lesson is around 1 hour, allowing time to revise key concepts, work through questions, and clarify any doubts. I am flexible with lesson structure depending on the student’s needs, whether that is covering school topics, preparing for exams, or revising difficult areas.
