About Grace
Hello! My name is Grace, and I’m 17 years old. I’m currently in Year 13, studying Biology, Chemistry, and French at A Level. I’m really passionate about science and hope to study medicine at university once I finish my A Levels. My favourite part of tutoring is seeing my students grow in confidence and ability. In my lessons, I focus on breaking down topics into clear, simple explanations and building strong exam technique. I encourage students to set their own goals — whether that’s improving their grade, understanding tricky topics, or feeling more confident — and I support them in reaching those goals. My approach is patient, supportive, and encouraging because I want every student to feel relaxed and confident during our sessions. Outside of my studies, I enjoy running, playing hockey, reading, and going on countryside walks with my friends.

I use a specification-orientated approach to ensure students cover all subject material needed for their GCSE exams. I adapt my lessons to suit the student's individual learning style and ability. I have found that the show-do-teach method is excellent for helping students fully grasp topics, and therefore utilise plenty of exam questions directly from the relevant exam board. My typical lesson ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour. The majority of my students are between 14 and 16 and working towards their GCSEs, but I have also taught younger students in the past.
