About Yasimin

In secondary school my grades were not great I was averaging grades 4 (C) and 3 (D) in Biology and Chemistry with no idea how to revise or where to even begin and considering how important these subjects were in Medicine I was really struggling.

Through researching revision methods I was able to revise effectively and achieve the grades I never would've imagined I was capable of and become the person I am today ! As a tutor, I want students to find the most suitable learning methods for themselves as it isn't always easy.

Gaining new knowledge and learning new ways to improve myself as a student is very insightful and always interesting and tutoring gives me the opportunity to give that same feeling to other people too! Being a tutor is always rewarding and I do enjoy seeing and helping students through their academic journey and see them succeed.

About the lesson

I tutor GCSE students studying Biology and Chemistry
Lessons range from 1-2 Hours.
Once a student is interested in being tutored by me I will send a form before our first lesson to fill in via google forms for me to tailor tutor sessions around your strengths and weaknesses.

The first lesson will involve me getting to know you better and we will discuss your form together and find the right plan to improve your learning.

- Revision Methods
-Exam Board details e.g Will you be sitting your exams with AQA or Edexcel

After the first lesson I will send a detailed email explaining the plan to get you to your ideal goal and if you feel it is suitable we will move forward from there and also checklists for topics too !

As your tutor my primary focus is to not only help teach you Biology and Chemistry and achieve your ideal grades/goals but to help you find and perfect revision methods that you can apply in any subject.

After the introductory session, before we begin the actual lessons I will require details of what topics you would like me to go over so I can prepare the lesson beforehand.
