About Cameron
My name is Cameron and I'm a second-year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I achieved 3 A*'s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-level alongside an A* in my EPQ. I also received nine grade 9's at GCSE (including in biology) and two 8's. I'm most familiar with the AQA course, which was the board for both my A-level and GCSE, however due to significant overlap in content I also teach the other exam boards.

I believe lessons are the most helpful when the student identifies areas they find difficult, allowing the session to be tailored to turn these areas of weakness into areas of strength. This allows me to focus first on helping the student to understand the topic, by starting from basics and layering detail on top. I then go through mark schemes to highlight the keywords that examiners are looking for in each question. I then move on to working through practice questions to demonstrate how to maximise the number of marks achieved per question, before setting questions for the student to do independently to ensure their understanding. For those students pursuing the highest grades, I believe it's important to provide higher details and introduce some concepts beyond the specification, allowing students to differentiate themselves from the other candidates.
