About Khadija

I am a science technician in a secondary school in East London. My job means I am heavily involved in the science curriculum at school and I am constantly assisting teachers and students in lessons.

I finished university in 2020, achieving a 2:1 in biochemistry at University of East Anglia (UEA) and have been tutoring for over 3 years. I have taught many different students at a variety of levels and through working hard together, every single one has passed! They have gone on to get into great schools and study the subjects they love by consistently trying their best.

I have also taught young children at primary school level in a school setting over weekends.

About the lesson

My main focus in my lessons is to make the student feel comfortable and open enough to discuss with me what they find hard or need extra help on. From there, a lesson structure can be built based on their strengths and weaknesses that allow them to work through the stuff that's not making sense. I don't mind explaining things 100 times, that's what I'm here for!! I like to focus on one topic per session and set homework based on the content that was covered. The next session will start with a recap on the last lesson and then move onto something new. I also set frequent tests, past paper questions and problems that monitor their progress and encourage students to get the full idea of what the topic really is and what kind of questions they could face in an exam.
