About Anthony

Since I obtained two master degrees, in history and in youth literature, I am an expert in history and in several languages: French, English, Latin and Ancient Greek. I teach online lessons at elementary school, middle school and high school, and lectures in history at the university level.

About the lesson

At elementary, middle and high school levels, lectures are out of question: in History, my private lessons are preferably based on documents (maps, images, historical texts) and/or exercises related to the programs of the countries, and according to the student(s)' gaps and needs. The course starts with the study of one or several documents, then I proceed with a correction if necessary. A synthesis follows this documentary review. I eventually finish with an exercise or a quiz.
List of the topics I teach, according to the US high school Advanced Programs (AP): European history & World history.

At the university level (in History only), I provide lectures. This however should not prevent the student from participating if they want, in case of questions or clarifications. A subject for a period (both chosen freely):
-ancient and medieval periods: Roman history (imperial period); Classical Greek history; Early Middle Ages (the "barbarians"); High Middle Ages (economy and society at the time of the Capetians); Late Middle Ages (the major crises)
-early modern, late modern and contemporary periods: The French Wars of Religion (France, 16th century); Ancien Régime France (17-18th centuries); The French Revolution (1789-1799); Religious tensions in the French department of Ain during the revolutionary period (specialism); The Construction of Europe (from 1951 to present days).

The last 5 minutes are usually meant for the course assessment and/or for questions.
