About Marcus

I am creative individual first and foremost! Music runs in my blood and no matter where I am at in life, I always come back to it. My second biggest trait is loving to help people in any way I can. Thus, I am hoping to spread the joy of music by teaching people to drum!

I am a musician and have some releases out there which I am very proud of. With a little music school in my background, I've explored many different aspects of music. I love to play any and everything on drums so If your'e worried about that, you can cross that off your list!

I am just here in hopes I can get someone going with wherever they want to take their drumming skills!

Favourite artists: Ghost Funk Orchestra, Khruangbin, Palm, and Tame Impala

About the lesson

I am a passionate drummer and musician with 5 years of experience. I excel in teaching drummers who are just starting out or have no experience. Whatever it may be, I will tailor each lesson to your individual needs, helping you grow and develop as a musician. My lessons are for students age 7-16!

What I Offer:

Drum Lessons: I teach a wide range of drumming techniques, from basic rhythms to advanced patterns. We’ll cover topics like hand-foot coordination, grooves, fills, and dynamic control.

Technique & Posture: Proper hand position, foot placement, and overall ergonomics for playing drums to prevent injuries and improve efficiency.

Different Styles: I can guide you through a variety of genres including rock, jazz, funk, metal, blues, and more, so you can become a versatile player.

Improvisation & Creativity: Develop your own voice as a drummer by learning how to improvise, create drum parts, and experiment with your sound.

Why Choose My Lessons:

Personalized Approach: Each lesson is tailored to your goals and musical style.

Flexible Scheduling: I understand that life can be busy, so I offer flexible lesson times to accommodate your schedule.

Fun and Supportive Environment: My lessons are focused on making learning enjoyable, with lots of encouragement and patience, so you feel comfortable progressing at your own pace.

If you want to drum for fun, prepare for auditions, or even perform in a band, I can help you reach your musical goals. Let's make some noise!
