About Rozmene

I understand GCSEs from both sides. I was once predicted 5s and 6s, but achieved eight 8s and 9s. This taught me how to turn gaps in knowledge into marks, and I want to help other students do the same.

Having recently completed my GCSEs, I have first-hand experience of the current exam system, having studied both AQA and Edexcel specifications. I specialise in Edexcel IGCSE Biology and Chemistry, with a strong understanding of exam technique, specifications and mark schemes.

Every 1-hour lesson is personalised to the student’s learning style, using clear explanations, active recall and targeted exam questions. My goal is to build understanding, confidence and results.

About the lesson

My approach is personalised, engaging and highly exam-focused. As someone who has just completed my GCSEs, I have first-hand experience of the current exams, specifications and mark schemes, so I can teach students the strategies I found most effective, while keeping lessons relatable and easy to understand.

I tailor every 1-hour lesson to the student’s learning style and needs, combining clear explanations, visual resources, active recall and targeted exam questions. I particularly focus on exam technique: understanding exactly what the mark scheme requires, using precise scientific terminology and turning knowledge into marks.

I teach 14–16-year-olds preparing for GCSEs and International GCSEs, with particular expertise in Edexcel IGCSE Biology and Chemistry. Whether a student needs help understanding difficult topics, building confidence or pushing towards the top grades, lessons are structured around their individual goals.

All teaching materials are included in the hourly fee, with no additional charges. I provide tailored mock papers and work through them with you to identify areas for improvement. I can also help you create a personalised revision timetable using spaced repetition, making your revision structured, effective and suited to your individual goals.

I am extremely patient and non-judgemental, and I want you to feel completely comfortable asking questions, even if you feel you are struggling with a topic. If you get stuck between lessons, you are also welcome to message me with questions about topics or practice work, and I will do my best to help you understand where you are going wrong.
