About Verity

Verity came to yoga having worked in the corporate world for several years and looking for something to help with migraines. Little did she know the role that yoga would play in mitigating pain, balancing out cycles of stress and living with compassion and purpose. She's driven to help others discover their own connection to a yoga practice which supports them to live in greater alignment with their values and how they want to show up for themselves and those around them.

About the lesson

Have you been nursing a niggle that just won't go away? Maybe an ongoing physical, mental or emotional issue is keeping you stuck and stopping you from moving forward the way you'd like to?

Working one-on-one from the comfort of your home or in a convenient location near you allows us to get to the bottom of those niggles and persistent points of tension that are unique to you. Often these pain points are a physical response to stress that is being held in the body, so we'll tread gently as we soften around the edges and build your internal capacity to feel more calm and grounded - not just on the mat - but wherever your day takes you.

My approach is warm and welcoming and taught from a trauma and mental health aware perspective. You don't need to be flexible or fit to get involved — I'll devise a personalised yoga plan to ensure you get the most out of each session.

Techniques may include: vinyasa flow for stretching and strength, yin yoga for a deep stretch, restorative, relaxation and pranayama breathing practices to balance the nervous system. I'm a qualified yoga instructor, recognised internationally by Yoga Alliance and I’m keen to support people of all ages, genders and with any level of experience. Absolute beginners are welcome!

The first free lesson with Verity will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

Details

I recommend practicing in-person, especially for the first 2-3 times that we meet as we establish a flow for the sessions. I often meet students at a local park. Alternatively, we can utilise a hall nearby for an additional fee. If your preference is for online, I'm more than happy to facilitate this too.

Sessions are generally 60 minutes and the initial session is half price (30mins included for free). The price applies to individuals or groups up to 3. Please let me know if you have a larger group and I can provide a quote. Don't hesitate to get in touch - we can have a quick chat on the phone and work out if I'm the right fit for what you need.
