About Mariah
An SLP graduate with a background in special education and over 10 years of experience in public schools and specialized settings, I hold certifications in reading, English, and exceptional student education with experience as a reading teacher, English teacher, special education teacher, and special education lead. In addition to my school-based work, I’ve provided intensive reading intervention at a private reading clinic using structured, evidence-based programs like LMB's Seeing Stars. I specialize in helping students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences build foundational skills and confidence through individualized instruction.

As a reading specialist, I provide individualized, evidence-based instruction that targets symbol imagery, phonemic awareness, spelling, fluency, and comprehension. My lessons are structured, engaging, and designed to help struggling readers become confident, independent learners. I adapt each session to meet the unique needs of every student and use visual, verbal, and multisensory strategies to strengthen core literacy skills. Whether your child is diagnosed with dyslexia or simply needs extra reading support, I’ll guide their progress with compassion, expertise, and proven techniques.
