About Wan Nurain
I’m a passionate and approachable tutor who enjoys helping students unlock their full potential. As someone who has gone through the SPM journey, I understand the challenges students face and how overwhelming exams can feel. That’s why I aim to be not just a tutor, but a supportive guide who helps students build confidence and take control of their learning. I’m patient, friendly, and always open to questions—no matter how small. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to match their pace and comfort level. Whether a student is shy, struggling, or aiming to score higher, I do my best to create a safe and encouraging environment where they can grow. I take tutoring seriously and always come prepared. My goal is to make students feel more confident after every lesson, not just in the subject—but in themselves:)

I am an SPM Pure Science graduate with 9A+, offering online tutoring for SPM Chemistry and Mathematics (Form 1 to Form 5). I have teaching experience from 2021, where I conducted virtual lessons for SPM students. I am currently in my second year of a Pharmacy degree at Trinity College Dublin. This is my first time officially advertising my tutoring services, and I’m excited to reach more students who are looking for personalized academic support.
My teaching style is flexible and student-centered. I believe every student learns differently, so I prefer to discuss with each student what approach works best for them. For those who struggle to understand certain topics, I take a concept-based approach, which focuses on helping students grasp the core principles and mechanisms behind each subject area. This method is especially useful for building strong foundational understanding and long-term retention.
For students who are more exam-oriented, I offer a result-focused approach—lessons are structured around past-year papers, answering techniques, and strategies to maximize marks. This includes teaching how to break down questions, manage time effectively, and avoid common mistakes in exams.
My lessons are interactive and engaging. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, revisiting areas they find confusing, and progressing at their own pace. Whether the student needs consistent academic support or intensive exam preparation, I will adapt the lesson to meet their goals.
