About Benjamin
I'm Ben and i'm starting medical school this September at the University of Exeter! Having finished my A-levels this summer i achieved an A* in biology and an A in chemistry. I also achieved a score of 101/120 in my Exeter medicine interview (84%) and also received an offer to study medicine at the University of Southampton! I also have acheived a Silver award for the Senior British Biology Olympiad and a Bronze award for the RSC Yr13 Chemistry Olympiad.
I have JUST sat the exams you are about to face so every single tip and trick and knowledge needed to achieve that A/A* in biology and chemistry are fresh in my brain ready to pass on to my students!

For each A-level biology/chemistry lesson i will begin with making sure the student understands the concept of what they're struggling with. I will do this with worked examples, diagrams and constantly checking the students understanding. Next we will go onto practice questions which will be OCR A exam board specific and i will continuously test my student and if they make mistakes explain to them where they went wrong. I also have acronyms and specific ways to remember certain key concepts in A-level biology and chemistry which will be useful! Finally i will make sure my students are comfortable with asking me any questions they have as someone who just finished A-levels with an A* and an A in biology and chemistry i know how important feeling comfortable in your learning environment is!
