About Ben

I am a data scientist & data analyst with several years of experience in industry applying techniques that you will be taught in your statistics classes. I am a post-graduate student with a Masters of Statistics and Operations Research, but I have been lucky enough to apply these techniques in professional settings and translate them to large-scale computing solutions.

I can help you with any of the following topics in statistics:

I have had plenty of experience tutoring and teaching. I primarily tutored high school students across biology, chemistry, English, and maths while I was studying my undergraduate degree. At this time, I also tutored fellow students that were concurrently taking the Biostatistics subject with me. More over, translating complex concepts to understandable explanations is something I've thoroughly practised in the business world.

About the lesson

I can teach you what to learn, but I prefer to teach how to learn, that way you can go home after our tutoring session and be able to study more effectively.

I am happy to teach anyone up to and including the undergraduate level. If you're undertaking a thesis, I'm also happy to help you decide on the right statistical test or model for your data, as well as checking whether the analysis has been carried out appropriately.

Statistics can often be a dry topic that is loathed by many, but what got me hooked on it was how useful it is. I hope to help you gain a whole new perspective and appreciation for statistics, so that you don't find studying for your exams absolutely unbearable.
