About Tue Nhi

I am an undergraduate at the University of Manchester, studying Education. I was deeply inspired by how my teachers at a British Internation School has wonderfully brought out the best of me with their passion for teaching and attention to each and every student's individuality. Thus, I yearn to follow in their footsteps to nurture students and encourage them to develop themselves, both in character and academically. I wish to explore many teaching styles that focus on the students' personal growth, in areas such as knowledge attainment, critical thinking, time management, discipline... by using the funds that I have acquired as a student myself. Private tutoring students is how I can optimise my experience to genuinely help someone, and more importantly, make an impact for both myself and a fellow student.

About the lesson

Private tutoring in GCSE Maths and Accelerated Math, GCSE Triple Science Biology, IB Maths AI HL & IB Biology (SL). I offer a 2-hour session weekly, or two 1-hour/ 1 hour and a half sessions weekly. I will also assess and provide written feedback outside of live online meetings and regularly chat with you to keep you on track and answer any questions. My forte is in Maths and Biology (exam revision & coursework), but I would love to help with other components such as TOK as well (if requested - open to negotiate).

Method:
Extracting all tips and stretegies that I have personally acquired as a student, I will share with you revision methods, resources, and tools that earned me straight A stars in IGCSE and 45/45 in the IBDP - and support you throughout your revision process. I will stay close to your working habits and focus on effective efforts to track your progress. That way, I aim to adapt to your style so that you have agency in your learning as well as develop good organisation skills.
I can help you deepen and consolidate subject understanding with memorisation tricks and via mapping interconnections between different knowledge areas - both of which are key to mastering Biology. In addition, I will also thoroughly revise test papers, homework, and schoolwork with you to sharpen the logic that governs solving test questions, as well as learn to predict the expectations of examiners.

Especially for IB Biology SL, I can closely assist you with your IA by helping you hit the targets required for top marks. I have had experience providing critical peer feedback for essays and coursework.

My qualifications:
- All A* iGCSE, including in Triple Science, Advanced Maths (95%) & English First Language & Literature
- Highest iGCSE Biology result (98%) in Vietnam (May 2021 examination)
- Perfect IB score 45/45 - top 1% of global candidates
