About Ava
I’m a calm, supportive SAT tutor with a solid academic background, including a first class psychology degree and professional experience as a SEN teaching assistant. I specialise in helping students who need clear explanations, structure, and confidence-building: the ones who feel overwhelmed by big exams until someone breaks everything down properly.
I bring a steady, organised approach to lessons, focusing on the logic behind SAT Reading, Writing, and Maths questions so students stop guessing and start understanding. My sessions are patient, encouraging, and tailored to each learner’s pace, making the test feel far less intimidating.

My SAT prep lessons are structured, calm, and fully tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on building strong Reading, Writing, and Maths skills through clear explanations, guided practice, and targeted strategy work. Each session includes timed drills, breakdowns of common question types, and personalised feedback so students know exactly how to improve their accuracy and speed.
Because of my experience as an SEN teaching assistant, I create a supportive environment for learners who benefit from extra patience, routine, or confidence-building. I help students understand the logic behind SAT questions, develop reliable methods, and build the test-taking habits that lead to higher scores.
The aim is simple: steady progress, reduced stress, and a student who walks into the exam feeling prepared and capable.
