About Peter

Struggling with Maths and losing confidence? Let's get you back on track.
I'm a Bachelor of Engineering graduate who specialises in helping Year 7–1 2 students build confidence, strengthen maths foundations, and improve results.

Many of the students I work with feel overwhelmed by maths, have fallen behind in class, or understand the examples but struggle to solve problems independently.

With the right support and a clear plan, they often discover they're capable of much more than they thought.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and focus on:
Breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps
Strengthening algebra and core maths foundations
Building confidence and independent problem-solving skills
Developing effective study habits and exam techniques
Turning "I don't get it" into "I can do this"

I regularly support students who:
• Feel anxious before maths tests and exams
• Have gaps in their understanding from previous years
• Need help catching up with classwork
• Want to improve their confidence and overall performance

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and structured. Rather than memorising formulas, students learn how to understand concepts, apply them correctly, and develop the confidence to tackle new problems on their own.

All lessons are aligned with the Mathematics curriculum, and I also provide support for students preparing for senior mathematics and HSC pathways.

The first lesson is an opportunity for us to identify strengths, uncover knowledge gaps, and create a personalised plan for improvement.

About the lesson

Falling behind in maths or lacking confidence? This is where we fix it.
My lessons are designed for Year 7–12 students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to improve. I focus on rebuilding confidence and making maths feel simple and manageable again.
Each 60-minute session is structured to help students catch up quickly and start thinking independently.
What each lesson includes:
• Targeted revision of problem areas
• Clear, step-by-step explanations
• Guided practice with support
• Independent application to build confidence
My teaching style:
• Calm, supportive, and pressure-free
• Focused on reducing anxiety and building confidence
• Structured to create real progress week by week
I especially help students who:
• Feel anxious during tests
• Have fallen behind in class
• Understand concepts but can’t apply them
Lessons are available:
• Online (Microsoft Teams)
• Face-to-face (local students)
I also offer support for senior maths (HSC pathways, QCE , WACE, VCE).
