About Dilan
I’m passionate about teaching because seeing students succeed truly brings me joy, and I aim to help students feel confident and positive about their learning journey.
Hi! I’m Dilan, a BSc (Hons) graduate in Chemistry, and I’m passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and easy to understand. I enjoy helping students discover the excitement of Chemistry, whether you’re working through NCEA Levels 1, 2, or 3. My lessons break down tricky concepts into simple, clear steps, using real-life examples and proven study techniques to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
Having worked in a chemistry laboratory, I know the value of precision and clarity—and I bring that same focus to teaching. My goal is to help students gain confidence, turn challenges into strengths, and actually enjoy the process of learning.
With experience mentoring students and guiding them through difficult concepts, my goal is to make learning relatable, interactive, and energizing. From grasping chemical reactions to mastering problem-solving skills, each session is designed to be engaging, inspiring, and productive.
In my free time, I love exploring productivity tips and study strategies through educational videos, constantly growing as a learner and bringing these effective techniques into my teaching.

I teach NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3 Chemistry with a focus on helping students build a strong foundation and gain confidence in their abilities. My lessons (1–1.5 hours) are designed to link concepts, work through past paper questions, and guide students in breaking down questions to achieve their best grades. Using active recall methods, real-life examples, and hands-on tools, I make even the most challenging topics understandable. Having struggled with complex subjects myself, I understand how frustrating and overwhelming learning can feel, so I break concepts into simple, manageable steps, helping students turn uncertainty into confidence. With many years of tutoring experience, I create a supportive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment—and I’m passionate about helping every student succeed.
