About Derick
Went to school at Northampton Academy for my GCSEs and then at Silverstone UTC. In Year 10, I did work experience as a Teacher Assistant in a Primary School and loved it. Completed an Extended Diploma in Engineering. Studied a Master’s Degree in Automotive Engineering at Brighton University and graduated in 2022. I have completed just completed my PGCE and completed two work placements in school. Worked as a Design Engineer for 1½ years. Previously worked at Decathlon from 2018 to 2022 as part-time work. Hobbies: • Playing football and watching F1 (favourite driver: LH44) • Freestyle dance and listening to music • Long-distance running (mostly 5Ks – best time: 19:50) • Visiting family and friends
