About Abhisikta
I am Abhisikta Banerjee. I am pursuing a bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from Budge Budge Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India. I have had a formidable knack for teaching since my early childhood when we used to have little keypad mobiles and my friends used to call me up and ask me to explain something to them right before unit tests and tuition exams. I am very patient with kids. As an education enthusiast, I sometimes impart knowledge outside of curriculum textbooks, and those take my students and I into long discussions about the topic. I spend my time learning all kinds of different things, reading and researching, playing the ukulele, clicking pictures with my digital camera, and wondering what needs to be done in order to improve the state of our society.

I apply the Feynman technique in my teaching approach, which involves the following:
- taking a concept
- understanding it and learning it
- explaining it to yourself as if you were a child
- reviewing the gaps and mistakes in your understanding from the explanation
When I teach using this method, I carry out the first two steps, and then I get my student to explain the concept back to me, logically, which, in the end, makes it easier for them to figure out loopholes in their understanding and develop questions and deeper understanding of the matter by themselves.
This technique and more like this, help immensely in having a good grasp of topics of Science and Literature. It works well with people of all age groups.
