About Amélie
I am currently a second year student at ESSEC and I teach English for high school, college and school children. I obtained a Bac S, with 17 in English and I am currently at ESSEC in the second year of the bachelor. I recently took the British Council IELTS test and got a score of 8, equivalent to a C1 level. Last year I stayed 1 month in South Africa for a field internship, an experience in English 100%. Being in an international school I have an almost daily contact with English. My goal is to make it fun and accessible for my students.

My methodology adapts to the student. During the first lesson we establish together the objectives to be reached, do you have to take an oral? a contest? an English test? or do you just want to improve your english? Then, according to the established objectives, I try to organize my course in this way: - 15m of conversation to put the student at ease on subjects that he appreciates. - 25m of oral and written exercises to help the student to be as comfortable as possible with the construction of sentences in English. - 20m of oral comprehension, I show videos to the student and we both discuss them (focused on their areas of interest as much as possible) in order to develop their comprehension. Again, I prefer to adapt to the needs of the student, if this format is not suited to what he is looking for I can change it very well. In any case, my primary goal is to give students a passion for language and the desire to learn for themselves. I want to pass on my knowledge in a way that is both educational and fun.
