About Fares
Hi. I'm Fares. I am currently approaching the end of my 2nd year as a dental student at KCL and have been tutoring for almost 4 years now. This has been predominantly in centres however I've now decided to make the change to online tutoring to reach a larger array of students. I enjoy helping those with academic aspirations to achieve their goals as someone who was once in that position. I achieved all grades 8-9 at GCSE and A*AA at A-level studying Maths, Bio and Chemistry. If you are patient and approach lessons with a willingness to learn, the sky is the limit.

Approach to teaching is the following:
- Initial assessment to determine weakest topics. (Unless student is already aware of areas of improvement)
- Generate a list of topics from this, ranging from weakest to strongest.
- Aim to cover these topics in a timely manner with focus on active recall techniques. Pre-work will be set each week and so will post session work.
- Re-assess every 4 weeks to determine areas of improvement.
- Adjust topic list order and provide maintenance work to improve retention of comfortable content.
A large aspect of scoring high in exams is the understanding of exam-based language and the ability to solve problems. These 2 things are not directly related to content but contribute to your final score. As your tutor I will ensure these are understood alongside content-learning. Lesson are 1-2-1 and taught via zoom.
