About Ia
I am a composer with a background as a classical pianist, and also as a keyboardist in various metal bands both with recordings and live performances. My education includes several years of studies in composition and piano, including composition for two years at Sundsgårdens Folkhögskola and one year at St Sigfrids folkhögskola. In 2018, I completed a bachelor's degree in composition from Örebro University, after which I studied the master's program in composition at the Malmö Academy of Music. In 2017, was named "Composer of the Year 2017" by Bergslagens Kammarsymfoniker, when they ordered a specially written piece for the premiere of the orchestra. Has participated in creating music for film and theater, and also in composing music for ensembles such as Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Malva Quartet, violinist Peter Sheppard Skærved and the Academic Orchestra in Örebro.

The course opportunities focus on what you as a student want help with in your composing. This is regardless of whether you already have some experience and are now looking for feedback and someone to discuss how the music you compose today can be developed, or if composing is completely new to you and you want help taking the first steps into the wonderful world of composition! The teaching plan is then always set up according to each individual student's wishes, and is based on the teaching I have received at the Academy of Music in Örebro and the Academy of Music in Malmö.

Deadly! Jag bestämde mig för att ta privatlektioner inför antagningsproven jag skulle göra för att komma in på musikhögskola och det var bästa beslutet någonsin! Ia är en duktig lärare som kan anpassa lektionerna efter vad man behöver. Hon ger värdefull feedback på ens kompositioner och förklarar musikteori på ett lättförståeligt sätt.

Ia är toppen! Så kunniga och strukturerad, både i utlärning och gällande läxor mellan lektionerna. Vänlig och ambitiös, och alltid väl förbered för lektionerna.
